BlackBerry Link v.1.2.3.56 does not recognize MS Outlook 2013 when setting up contacts/calendar sync

I installed BlackBerry Link v.1.2.3.56 after uninstalling an earlier version which continually failed to sync my Outlook 2013 calendar and contacts with the error message "BlackBerry Link has stopped working". After the uninstall operation, I installed BlackBerry Link v.1.2.3.56 and attempted to setup the calendar/contacts sync operation for my Q10 devise. After clicking on "Configure", I get a text box with drop down menu box showing "Windows Contacts". When hitting menu arrow, I do not get another option -- just Windows Contacts. If I select that then all I get is an option to sync my contacts but the calendar option is greyed out (not able to sync). What is the solution?
