Contacts won't Sync from Blackberry Bold to Outlook 2010
Bit of a problem I am hoping you can help with. I have the blackberry software downloaded on my computer, I have changed to Outlook 10 and have no contacts on outlook. I am trying to Sync my Blackberry with Outlook, I have been in throgh Sync all and Sync Organiser Data, ticking the contacts box (2 ways). The Blackberry Manager is telling me Sync is complete and there are the same number of contacts on Blackberry as Outlook, yet when I open Outlook I have zero contacts. Any ideas on how they can show up? Am I the only one in the world who still uses a Blackberry??!!
pc won't recognize my bb
I downloaded BlackBerry desktop software recently from BlackBerry website which was working fine but after I reboot my pc and reconnected my bb to pc than it was nothing. It won't recognize my bb. I reboot my pc and cell once more still nothing, uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Software, cleaned registry, removed left over files, wiped the drive reboot and reinstalled and than reboot once more but still I got same result.
When I went through my pc and check my pc's services I found blackberry desktop manager service was stopped (even when it is setted to automatic start). I turned it on and refreshed the page and it stopped again. I mean no matter what I do and how much I try, it won't stay on for more than 10 seconds.
I did everything possible by me now I have no idea what to do.
Please someone help me.
Windows 8.1 error 1316 with Link 123_b022
Running Windows 8.1 now with Kaspersky AV & Firewall. Previously with ESET NOD32 aV.
I had installed vers 122_b010 Link with ESET NOD32 and it was working fine. I thought I would put on the latest 123_b022 and everything fell apart.
It tries to install Visual C++ SP1 W8 which is acaually already installed. But going on the install proceeds until I was getting Blue Screen with NDIS_SYS IRQL_Not <=
So I uniinstalled, deleted all folders and files etc. Clean registry with PC Tools. Restarted.
Now (with AV off) I get Error 1316 with both the new and older Link versions.
What is going on?
Additional info. I reinstalled the Intel Ethernet drivers as that can cause the NDIS_Sys problem. No change.
I am running ASUS Sabertooth Z87 MOBO with Intel i7-K4770 CPU and Samsung SSD with

9860 will charge when plugged into computer, but BlackBerry Desktop Software does not register that it is connected; it also reboots itself constantly, with no reason
I currently have two problems, one lead me be forced to fix the other.
My first problem is that when I plug my phone into my desktop computer by usb it will charge, but when I go to do anything to by means of BlackBerry Desktop Software (in this case I need to reset my phone back to factory settings in hopes to solve my other problem- I would also like to do a backup before I lose everything) the program does not recognize that my device is plugged in. This has been going on for months now that it will not sync, I just haven't desperately needed to sync my phone until now.
My second problem is that my device will reboot itself whenever it pleases. It started doing this about a week ago while I was on vacation out of the continent. After rebooting itself at first it would search for network and as soon as it seemed to find any it would reboot itself again. More recently it will let me send a text or check twitter for a couple minutes before rebooting itself. It also seems to go in patterns, in the morning it will reboot itself back to back maybe 6-10 times, and then 2-3 times for the rest of the afternoon and then again around 630 for the past three days it will go into the constant reboot mode for a while (it is currently in one of those moods as I type). I have called into Bell (my service provider) and all the help I got was to try pulling the battery and sim card and wait a couple minutes. They then suggested that I go in and get my sim card replaced as sometimes when you change time zones the phone can struggle to tell when it has actually come back into Canada and it will reboot itself. Pulling the battery did not work so I went into the store today and they ran a health check and there was nothing wrong with it all updates had been performed and there was nothing physically wrong with the phone. When I explained what I was told on the phone, they informed me that my sim card should not be causing any of the problems and I had three options, pay to send my phone away to be fixed, take my phone home and reset it to factory standards, or pay to have them reset it to factory standards.
So here I am trying to sync my phone to my computer so I can reset it to factory settings so it will stop rebooting itself.
Summary:
- I cannot sync my bb Torch 9860 to the BlackBerry Desktop Software (I want to not lose contacts and photos and voice notes etc when I reset my phone)
- My phone does random and constant reboots
- I was out of the continent when it started acting up
- I have tried pulling the battery
- I have tried pulling the sim card
- I have tried visiting my service provider
- I have tried calling my service provider
- I have searched this site and crackberry and all other sites like these for answers
- I can send and receive messages
- I was told to try resetting my phone to factory settings to fix the problem of rebooting, but I can't sync my phone to reset it (see my problem)

I am looking to hear what some others have to say about other ways to stop my phone from rebooting that doesn't include resetting it to factory settings
BlackBerry Desktop Software does not recognize my device
My problem is that when I plug my phone into my desktop computer by USB it will charge, but when I go to do anything to by means of BlackBerry Desktop Software the program does not recognize that my device is plugged in. This has been going on for months now that it will not sync, I just haven't desperately needed to sync my phone until now. I have tried pulling the battery and pulling the sim card. I have also tried other USB cords.
Desktop Software Contacts Organiser
If I set this to synch both ways will it maintain my subfolders (Office Outlook on desktop) or will it put any updated contacts back in the main contact folder?
Restoring older phone backup to new phone
Please correct me if I'm wrong...
I've had blackberrys forever. About 50% of the time i got the latest phone becasue i damaged the previous one. I often did whole phone backups, but could never restore the backup to the new phone. I rarely got the chance to do the phone "switch/transfer" method. There's got to be a way to do this switch from the backup? In general all my email and contacts were from a BES server - so not a problem. -But media, apps, settings all had to be set or downloaded manually again.
Please tell me I've been missing something that exists.
Option to delete after importing media files doesn't save
I am using the Blackberry Desktop Software v7.1.0 B42. I connect the device to my PC via the USB cable and go into the Device Options within the desktop software. On the Media tab, I change the "After importing media files:" drop-down menu item to the option to delete files from the deivce, then click OK.
After that, if I disconnect the Blackberry device and reconnect it, the option reverts back to "Keep files on device". This is driving me insane. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? Thanks!

Removing Blackberry Desktop Software 5.0.1 from Windows 7 Error Message 1316
When attempting to remove BB Desktop Software 5.0.1 from Windows 7, I received an error towards the end of the uninstall stating "Error 1316, file not found" and it reverts back and reinstalls the product. I no longer have a BB and would like to clean up my hard drive from unnecesary programs. Please help!
Desktop Software Constantly Asks To Install. PLEASE HELP!
Hi,
I went to uninstall Blackberry Desktop Software years ago, and believed to have done it correctly (No Blackberry items in my control panel when i go to uninstall etc.)
However, every time i go to open a video in realplayer or Windows media player or anything like that, Blackberry Desktop Software 6.1 tries to install, i will click cancel, it will reappear instantly, i click cancel again, it reappears instantly every single time. So i leave it, it then says it cannot install because the feature i am trying to use is on a network resource that is unavaliable, so i click cancel, then it restarts again. Its ridiculous.
Please help me get rid of it for good. i have AVG anti-virus software and i am in Windows Vista.
Contact error and incomplete when synching with outlook
Hi - i am new to all of this, and not particularly techo (so go easy on me please!).
Synching Ms Outlook and Torch 9810 for 3 years no problem - both ways.
The other day synching when connected and trying to do too many things at once, i noticed it said delete from device 1138 contacts - so i pressed as i always do - continue!!! A complete empty contacts list!!
I did a synch again, it seemed to synch but then would clear the contact list.
Long and short is, right now after a restore (which says there are 1138 contacts) it restores 927.
All that happens, whether i do a synch just to device or both ways, the total address book does not restore to the phone contacts.
What it does do howver is try and add 938 duplicate records from the device to the Outlook.
Throughout all of this all 1138 are on my laptop in Outlook address book.
Any help would be most grateful assisted,as the 200 odd missing ones are the ones i always seem to need when out and about!!!
