I am syncing my BB 9800 TO Outlook.
When syncing, I am getting "Synchronization Error". It noted that a calender entry was corrupt and should be deleted. So I deleted it - and the entire series in fact.
My BB still sees it and won’t allow the sync saying I need to delete it...except it's no longer there.
Any help is appreciated!!
Hi there,
Im really hoping someone can solve this for me....
Before getting rid of my old blackberry I backed up using the Desktop Software. I also downloaded all of my photos onto my PC. At the time this all seemed to work fine. However I have now just gone back to the backup folder and it appears to be empty?! As does the folder I created to keep the downloaded photos!
Are the files there and encryped or something? I did delete the desktop software recently to make room on my PC, but assumed the backup folder and folder with downloaded photos would not be touched!? (Especially since I moved the photo folder onto my external harddrive) If the files would have been deleted with the software is there any way of restoring them?
Any help greatly appreciated as I had hundreds of photos stored that I really don't want to lose :(
Hello all,
a couple of weeks back my BB (9790) was stolen. Luckily i've made a backup of the data.
I recently received a new BB (9720) and did a restore of the data that was on the previous backup and activated the device on our company BB server.
This weekend however I came to realise a lot of contacts had not been copied over to the new Blackberry.
When I look up that amount of data in the restore data from Select data to restore\ select device data and settings\ I can see that in my original backup I had 4534 contacts in my Address book. Backing up my phone today I see that there are only 3050 contacts remaining. Thus missing 1500 or 30%.
How can I make sure to recoup the previous 4534 contacts.
thanks,
Charles
Dear all,
i just moved to a new PC (former: Sony Vaio pro with win 7 pro, outlook 10 > new: sony vaio duo with win 8, outlook 13 from office 365 home). i used to sync outlook contacts and calendars with blackberry and iphone and ipad on my old notebook using desktop manager from blackberry.
Now with my new PC, ipad and iphone are still working fine and they sync with outlook: new entries on outlook calendar and new contacts are added to my mobile and vice versa but when i connect my Blackberry Bold i don get any of the updates.
i confirm that i am using the latest version of the desktop manager 7.0.
my desktop manager organizer is set up to sync both ways for both calendar and contacts
Any idea please?
thank you in advance for your help

HI.. i need help.. try to synchro my contacts with my bb boldd 9900 to my microsoft outlook. From total of 900++ contacts, they only sync with 200++ contacts with error message.. i already turn off my wireless sync on my bb.. error message came out below:-
Synchronization Error
CRTranRec::GetLinkedRecordld : Invalid linked record ld
After an upgrade to MS office 2010, my contacts will not update, nor will my organizer. I've deleted and reinstalled BB desktop software and when trying to sync, I'm will get a Redemption error message. If have no clue what that means. Then another error will pop up that says, No Microsoft Outlook Profile set up. Every seems to be set up correctly.
I also removed my email from my phone and reinstalled it, and nothing. Not only that, but I can't change my default contact list from my Hotmail to my work email contacts.
Any insight would be appreciated. I'm ready to by a new phone!
Thanks

I tried to sync my calendar from my device to my desktop without replacing all calendar entries. It didn't work. Blackberry Desktop Manager wanted to delete records from my divice which I was not ready to delete. So I synced from my device to my desktop (Outlook 2010) and replaced all calendar entries. The result was that it cleared out my desktop calendar and then gave me an error message (CR TranRec::GetLinkedRecoredId Invalid linked record ID) I have turned on the log and viewed it to try to determined which calendar entries may be causing the problem but while there are errors noted in the log, there is no way to link and error with a calendar entry. I'm stuck.
I saved my contacts on my laptop using BB desktop manager. I then reset my Bold 9900. When trying to synchronize my contacts from the laptop to the smartphone, I received the following message:
Runtime error!
Program...6)\Research In Motion\Blackberry DesktopRim.Desktop.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
How to contact the team?
I live in Belgium. If someone can send me a email address...
Thanks in advance
Alain
Having problems with my home PC I used a work PC to sync pictures and videos there, so i could edit the videos and photos.
But now my home PC is better and I tried syncing them again to it. But no luck. I did leave all the same items on the phone. Got the message There are no files. or something to that effect.
Is it the case that files etc. cannot be transferred more than once to a PC from the phone?
If the files are still on the phone, why can't I sync them as often as i want to as many devices as i want?
Or is there some other issue here?
I know I could send the files from one PC to the other, but that should be unnecessary. Besides, I want to keep the files as the best quality: the more files get transferred here and there, the more risk of errors creeping in. I want the original files on the phone transferred to my home PC to work on them.
I can't find a recent thread for this problem so would appreciate any known fix.
I've had no changes to my laptop which is running Windows Vista Business and has run Blackberry Desktop Software with no problems.
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall three times no, and still get "Blackberry desktop software has stopped working"
I can't sync or back up, it's incredibley frustrating.
Blackberry link is not synchronising contacts with OS 10. I am using a Q10 ( os 10.2.1.2947) and link version with MS office 2013.
Both contacts and calendars when synced individually, calendar synchronises smoothly.
Till recenlty the contacts used to update. Now the error meesage is "unable to commit change to device"
any advice?
Are there any plans to introduce support for Office 2013 for BB Desktop Software 7.1 at any time in the future?
Thanks.
